Strawberries and Cream Popsicles

Parades, grilling, sunshine, and fireworks. All make for a wonderful, fun Fourth of July! Add these tasty Strawberries and Cream Popsicles to the mix this year. Plus, they are the perfect item to make ahead of time, so on the fourth you can focus on family, friends, and fun.

Strawberry fun facts:

  • These red berries are the only fruit that wear their seeds on the outside.
  • 80% of strawberries in the U.S. are produced in California.
  • Every person eats about 3.5 pounds of fresh strawberries each year.
  • Strawberries are members of the rose family.

Kids can help:

  • Pour the strawberries into the blender.
  • Measure the yogurt.
  • Fold the pureed strawberries into the yogurt.
  • Scoop the mixture into the popsicle molds.

Strawberries and Cream Popsicles
Serves: 10
 
Ingredients
  • 1 (10 ounce) bag frozen strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 (24 ounce) container vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 10 popsicle sticks
Instructions
  1. In a blender or food processor, purée 1 (10 ounce) bag of strawberries with 1 teaspoon honey.
  2. Scoop 1 (24 ounce) container of vanilla Greek yogurt into the blender of food processor and blend again.
  3. Fold in puréed strawberries, creating swirls.
  4. Scoop yogurt mixture into popsicle containers.
  5. Add sticks and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
