Homemade Ranch Dressing

Can you name a red vegetable? Or an orange vegetable? Playing the vegetable color game is a great way to explore new vegetables with your kids and to practice the colors of the rainbow.

“Eating the rainbow” is the easiest way to encourage kids to eat or to try a variety of fruits and vegetables every day. Plus, teaching children to have a good mix of color when they eat fruits and vegetables will help them to create good eating habits. Check out our article on the 3 Best Ways to Cook Vegetables if you need some inspiration when your cooking vegetables for your family.

While vegetables are delicious on their own, they are also quite tasty with ranch dressing. If you have a ranch lover in your house, try making a simple homemade ranch dressing that is made with yogurt and herbs, instead of eating store-bought ranch dressing.

Homemade ranch dressing is also a great healthy party treat. Fill small containers with homemade ranch dressing and then vegetables, and you have a great finger food for your party!
